Women Economic Empowerment Program

Under the Women Economic Empowerment (WEE) program, Save Household supports women by offering them seed capital in the form of business grants or animals for rearing (specifically pigs and rabbits).  Save Household stimulates women’s ability to participate equally in existing markets; their access to and control over their own destiny; and increasing their voices in society and meaningful participation in economic decision-making at all levels from the household to community level. As more women work, economies grow, productivity is boosted, an increase in economic diversification and income equality in addition to other positive developments become an outcome of this program.

Child Education Sponsorship

Save Household Uganda believes that child sponsorship breaks the barriers that prevent children from receiving a befitting quality life. Through the provision of quality education, the program creates a huge difference in the lives of vulnerable children by allowing them realize their full potential and also have equal opportunity to compete for formal employment. We also strongly believe that education is not just a ritual but an intentional process of holistic transformation. Save Household therefore aims at producing students who are well mentored and cautious of the financial decision they make in life.

Financial Literacy Program

Financial Literacy is a very strong tool for Save Household to enable beneficiaries in all our programs to understand and effectively use various financial skills, including personal financial management, budgeting, and investing. This knowledge forms the foundation of their relationship with their livelihood, and it is a lifelong journey of learning. For our sponsored students, the earlier they the get financial literate , the better they become because financial literacy knowledge is key to accomplishment. We believe mere education will not complete the journey of success without understanding money principles.

Leadership & Mentoring Program

The biggest challenge we face as a country is not poverty and illiteracy as some people suggest but Save Household strongly believes that our biggest threat is lack of proper Leadership.  Therefore, Leadership and Mentoring is very vital in supporting our programs especially the Child Education Sponsorship since these children are the future leaders.
